Associate Creative Director

At Rockfish, the Associate Creative Director works closely with the creative, business innovations, and client operations teams and is responsible for leading the content and layout of a project, website, microsite, portal or mobile application.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead brainstorming sessions to develop innovative creative solutions
  • Works closely with the creative and client services teams and is responsible for leading the content and layout of a project
  • Create rough sketches of a design and viable design schemes
  • Manage a project’s timeline and budget from kickoff to launch
  • Ability to designing mobile friendly emails
  • Responsible for overall content layout and design of a client project
  • Identify emerging opportunities with new and existing clients and develop long-term business objectives
  • Develop and maintain new and existing client relationships
  • Train and mentor more junior level designers; may have direct reports
  • Recommend project needs and structure, ensuring team is meeting predetermined goals and functioning properly

Experiences/Abilities You Should Have:

  • Proven mobile web, mobile app and responsive design skills
  • Knowledge of current web design trends and techniques
  • Proficient in relative software skills
  • Conceptual thinker with the ability to drive concepts to delivery
  • Eye for concept development and execution
  • Ability to accept accountability for decisions and actions
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight and guidance
  • Collaborative worker with the ability to pair with a copywriter to develop story-driven concepts
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
